13 ways you can fix Google Play Store ‘Download Pending’ error

Whether you just got a brand new phone, or want to repurpose an older phone, you would think the process for downloading your apps is simple. However, from time-to-time, you may run into the dreaded spinning circle for your downloads. This “Download Pending” error has happened to everyone at some point in time, but here are some ways you can knock the webs out.

One sure-fire way to make sure that you won’t be able to install an update or a new app is if you are running out of storage. Just to check and make sure that you have enough space, head over to the Storage option and see what’s going on.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Storage.

If you are running out of space, this may cause some issues when trying to download app updates or new apps. A workaround for this is to delete some apps that you aren’t using, or make sure your photos are backed up and then delete them from the local storage on your phone.
