13 ways you can fix Google Play Store ‘Download Pending’ error

Whether you just got a brand new phone, or want to repurpose an older phone, you would think the process for downloading your apps is simple. However, from time-to-time, you may run into the dreaded spinning circle for your downloads. This “Download Pending” error has happened to everyone at some point in time, but here are some ways you can knock the webs out.

Software updates are a fantastic thing, but there are bugs in just about every update. So you’ll want to make sure your phone is running the latest version of the software possible.

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Scroll down and tap System.
  3. Tap Advanced.
  4. From the new menu, tap on System Update.
  5. If applicable, tap Download and install.
