If you’re excited for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10, you’re not alone. The Note series has been a staple in Samsung’s portfolio since the very early days, and in fact, one might even go as far as attributing it to the rise in popularity of the “phablet” form factor (which has since become the norm).
Thanks to a series of leaks and rumors, we’re starting to piece together a rough idea of what the phone could look like, what kind of specs it might have, and what kind of features it could be packing. Take note that these are just rumors and speculation, for now, so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt.
Design
In terms of design, judging from the renders, the phone could have an edge-to-edge display similar to the Galaxy S10 that launched earlier this year, but it’s Infinity-O display shifts the hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera to the middle. Some rumors are suggesting that the phone might not come with physical buttons, but new renders are suggesting that might not be 100% true.
What we have heard, though, is that Samsung could finally lay the headphone jack to rest. The company has been one of the few larger manufacturers who have kept the headphone jack alive in its smartphones, but persistent rumors are suggesting that they might finally cave in and do away with it in the Note 10. One other notable design change is that the bottom and top edges of the device appear to be flat rather than featuring the same curves of the side edges.
CPU
As usual, Samsung will probably launch the Note 10 in either an Exynos or Snapdragon variant depending on the market. With the Snapdragon chipset, unless Qualcomm launches a refresh of its Snapdragon 855, there is a good chance the Note 10 will continue to pack the company’s flagship chipset.
On the Exynos front though, the Galaxy S10 made use of the Exynos 9820, but recent reports have suggested that Samsung could actually use the Exynos 9825 for the Note 10 which is launching later this year. The Exynos 9825 is said to be built on the 7nm process, similar to that of the Snapdragon 855.
Pro Versus Regular
Samsung has typically launched its Note series without any variation apart from storage size configurations, but this year could be different as Samsung is rumored to launch a regular and a “Pro” version of the Note 10. At the moment it is unclear as to what the differences could be, but if we had to venture a guess, display size could be one of the main differences, along with RAM, battery size, and maybe its cameras.
The good news is that you might now have to purchase the largest device in Samsung’s lineup to own a Galaxy Note.
5G Connectivity
5G is expected to be the standard of mobile connectivity in the coming year or two, which means that as it stands, there isn’t much choice as far as 5G compatible handsets are concerned. Samsung already offers a 5G version of the Galaxy S10, so it makes sense that they would do so with the Note 10.
It has been said that 5G will not be a default feature of the Note 10, and that Samsung is still expected to offer the phone in both 4G and 5G variants.
A Quad Camera Setup
Speaking of cameras, we have heard that the Note 10 could be adopting the quad camera setup found in the 5G version of the Galaxy S10. This shouldn’t be surprising, although at this point in time we don’t know if it could be exclusive to the “Pro” version of the Note 10 or if it could be available for all models.
Leaked renders have only shown a triple camera setup so far, so it is possible that the quad camera setup could be an exclusive feature to the “Pro” variant of the phone.
Fast Charging
Fast charging has become sort of commonplace amongst our smartphones today, where each company seems to have come up with their own solution. Samsung is also expected to introduce fast charging to the Note 10 where we have heard rumors suggesting that it could range between speeds of 25W or up to a whopping 45W.
Larger Battery
The Note 9 came with a 4,000mAh battery but according to the rumors, the Note 10 is expected to come with a slightly larger 4,500mAh battery. We should point out that the rumor of the larger battery mentions the Note 10 Pro specifically, so it is possible that the regular Note 10 could continue packing a 4,000mAh battery.

Pricing & Availability
Samsung’s phones have been increasing in price over the years, and it does not appear that it will stop with the Note 10. According to the rumors, the upcoming Note 10 could be priced as much as $1,200, but whether or not this is the base price or the price of the Pro model is unclear, but either way, it will not be cheap.
A recently leaked Verizon roadmap has also indicated that the Note 10 could be launching in late August.
