Wordle is finally available in app form

0

Despite being available for quite some time now, Wordle continues to be a very popular and fun social game. The only “problem” is that the game was only available via the web, although many Wordle alternatives have tried to launch themselves as a mobile app.

For those who might prefer playing via a dedicated app on their phone, then you’re in luck because The New York Times has recently added Wordle to its Crossword app that will be available for download for both Android and iOS devices.

Also, the good news is that in addition to it being an app, Wordle via the Crossword app will continue to remain free to play. The rest of the app’s games will continue to require a paid subscription of $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, but you can still download the app and play Wordle for free if that’s the only game you’re interested in.

Keep in mind that you will be required to create an account with The New York Times, which is free anyway, but the upside is that you’ll be able to sync your Wordle scores across devices, so if you play on your PC and on your phone, your scores and daily streaks will be synced with each other.
