The outcry when PopCap announced they would be releasing several of their games for Windows Phone 7 after having promised Android users the same over a year ago was understandably loud. And PopCap heard it. Sameer Baroova of PopCop had the following to say in regards to their Android endeavors:

“I am delighted to confirm that we are working on bringing both Peggle and Plants vs Zombies to Android in early 2011″

Both of which should help to bolster further an Android Market that has of late been brimming with quality gaming titles. The great gaming boom we had hoped for has finally come into itself, and this news should tide over gamers thirsty for more.

  8. I have an Orange UK Sony Erricson Xperia X10 Mini.

It came preloaded with Peggle. :)

  9. Cool! Its about time. You can get peggle, etc. on basic vzw feature phones, I was surprised they weren’t available on Android, even more surprised that it took this long. I know all android phones aren’t the same, but PopCap isn’t made up of just a couple of programmers either. Perhaps they wanted to wait and see if Android became the success that it now is, which is certainly understandable. Bring it on PopCap!

  10. I’m over popcap now. Took them too long. By time they release this, so many better games will be out. If I want Peggle or PvZ, I’ll just settle for the ps3 version at this point.

  11. Wow – wow – wow. When PvZ launches, I’m gonna have to plan a vacation day. EEEEEE!

  12. Leave Devil Alone is an alternative for PvZ.

  13. We better see at least as many posts about this as we did for Angry Birds, because PvZ blows it away.

  14. I think Cut The Rope is better but I haven’t heard anything about it coming to Android. Its Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja combined into an epic game.

  15. I don’t know what the big deal is with Angry Birds. It’s a slow, one-sided Artillery Duel with goofy, annoying graphics. And I got bored with Fruit Ninja in 10 seconds. WTF?! Give me Bejeweled Twist or DinoEggs any time!

  16. cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  17. the qualite of peggle plants vs zombies is avalable now.So can I play it or not.The thing here is that I want to play peggle plants vs zombies or plants vs zombies 2.
