Amazon plans to unveil its next lineup of Echo devices and more on September 28

Tomorrow, we’re expecting Microsoft to show off a bunch of new hardware, and next week, we’ll be seeing even more new devices courtesy of Amazon. The retail giant has sent out invitations to various online publications, including The Verge, confirming that an event is being held on September 28th.

On Amazon’s Devices & Services news page, the description for the event reads as such:

Make sure to follow along on Tuesday, September 28 as we share news on our latest Amazon devices, features, and services.

This wouldn’t really be too newsworthy until you notice that “devices” are listed. Last year, Amazon’s fall event was where the company unveiled its all-new redesigned Amazon Echo speaker. The Amazon Echo Dot was also updated, along with new versions of the Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 10. This was also the event where the Amazon Luna game streaming service was announced, along with the new Fire TV Stick and some new Ring devices.

Although we aren’t expecting next week’s event to be as jam-packed as last year’s, we are expecting to see some pretty substantial updates to Amazon’s product line. This likely includes updated Kindle hardware, some new Ring security cameras and features, along with potentially minor updates to the Echo lineup of products.

Amazon’s event is kicking off on Tuesday, September 28th at 12PM ET / 9AM PT., Currently, we aren’t sure as to whether Amazon will be providing a live stream of the event. But considering that the invitation was only sent to select press outlets, then it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Amazon just drops a bunch of press releases while updating the landing pages for whatever new products are revealed.
