Verizon Rebate Form Shows Two Motorola Droid 2 Global Handsets?

Aside from showing off the long list of upcoming Android handsets for Verizon, a new rebate form has one rather peculiar listing. The Motorola Droid 2 Global is listed with two SKU numbers suggesting there will be two versions of the world-roaming smartphone. It could mean we will be seeing a white variant and a blue variant, or perhaps the D2 Global will come in camera and camera-less version as was suggested for the Motorola Droid Pro. It could also be something as simple as packaging variants or a version bundled with a dock similar to how the Droid R2-D2 included the accessory. What’s your guess?

  1. seems weird, the devour isn’t even on our rebate forms anymore.

  2. I would like to know the full retail pricing. Not available for upgrade for another year and the Eris is on its last leg. Plus, a global phone is ideal since I work overseas 6 months out of the year.

  3. It is a white version. And im excited.

  4. where does it show 2 droid 2 global phones???

  5. @chris: If you look to the right of the listing for the Droid 2 Global you’ll see 2 different SKU numbers. That usually indicates variations like different colors.
