Google Play Music to get $14.99 family plan [RUMOR]

It looks like Google will have more than just hardware to talk about at their big event tomorrow. New information has leaked suggesting that the company is ready to compete with Apple Music by offering a family plan.

Google Play Music will have a $14.99 plan for families, and that gives you unlimited access on up to 6 devices. Compare that to Apple who charges the same price for the same amount of family members, or Spotify which currently asks for $5 for each additional family member on top of their standard $9.99.

This was one of the biggest things folks were lusting over when Apple announced their big new streaming service, and now that Google has gotten on board there should be little reason to take your tune-listening business elsewhere.

We’ll have to see if there are any more surprises up Google’s sleeve once they make the official announcement tomorrow, but with tons of cloud storage and a superior recommendations and radio engine to all the rest we can’t imagine there’s much more they can add to make Google Play Music the best streaming option around.

Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X will be sold online-only September 29th; pricing starts at $499 and $379, respectively
