Wear Faces

It’s been a long time coming, but officially supported watch faces for Android Wear are finally here. After urging developers to wait for the official watch face API back in July, Google has finally made good on their promise. They have dedicated a page in the Play Store to the first crop of officially supported watch faces (27 to be exact).

Some of the notable watch faces include one for the Google Santa Tracker, a Muzei face that changes, Facer, and even Plants vs Zombies. Unfortunately it’s not all good news right now. The official watch faces require Android Wear 5.0 and above to work. That update is rumored to start rolling out today, but as of right now no one can try out these new watch faces. Hopefully that changes soon.

For now you can visit the page in the Play Store and start checking out the watch faces you might want to use. What do you think of this first crop of faces?
