Deal: get a free wooden back upgrade when you buy a Moto X through August 21st

Motorola’s giving folks another great reason to buy a Moto X. Their latest deal gives you the option to upgrade to a wooden back cover at no additional cost, a $25 value over its typical retail price tag. This doesn’t amount to more savings than some of their mid-summer promotions, but as those have since expired we imagine it’s better than not having another deal at all.

You’ll have the choices of Walnut, Bamboo, Ebony and Teak if you opt to take Motorola up on their deal. The front and sides of the phone will remain as they always have, so you’ll still need to settle on a pair of cool colors to complement the wood.

Oh, and you only have 3 days to get in on this deal — it’ll be nowhere to be found once August 21st comes and goes. Think it’s a little too late for a Moto X? You’ll want to pay close attention to Motorola on August 4th as they’re sure to announce the more impressive successor at their event in Chicago that day.
