By If you aren’t already holding onto your new 4.3-inch superphone (in some parts of the country), then rest assured you’ll be able to get your hands on the HTC EVO 4G today. After Sprint suggested that some of their preferred retailers should open their stores early, some stores like Radio Shack will be open at 6 AM today to take care of your itch (if you’re in the central or eastern timezones, you should be able to find a Radio Shack store open now. Those of you in mountain and pacific time zones, you’ll have to wait an hour or two before you take to the road.
For $199.99 and a two-year contract, you can grab up HTC’s and Sprint’s latest flagship device that has a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, Android 2.1 with the latest version of HTC Sense, and – most importantly, for some people – a 4G capable phone. 4G isn’t yet lit up in all parts of the country, but Sprint’s working hard every day to bring their customers near-broadband mobile data.

HTC and Sprint have ruined a very nice and advanced piece of hardware.
The bloatware on this thing is at shameful levels. From the HTC Sense launcher (which can be disabled) and the related deep customization (which can NOT be disabled) to the Sprint Apps (NASCAR… Really? I can’t uninstall this?).
Do not buy.
do you guys think the iphone will be available for sprint? someone said something about we’ll know on the 8th…i really like the evo but i dont know if a iphone will be better, what do you think?

I was told by a Radioshack rep to come in at 9:30am this morning so I did and they had one phone left that they would give me. Sprints network went f’ing crazy though and they could not get anyone on the phone so I ended up waiting 3 AND A HALF HOURS before I got my phone! My feet hurt so bad lol and I only told them id be gone from work an hour…I got it though and that’s all that matters.
Sumon just had to try to bring up Iphone relevance in an EVO thread. Nobody is waiting for an Iphone on Sprint. Let the EVO have its time to shine
That screen looks totally awesome and I can’t believe this has HDMI on it.
Phone of the future? Looks like it and Apple will have to pull something big out of the bag to stop me upgrading to a iphone 4g over this on Monday…
