ASUS Announces ROG Phone 6 Launch Event

0

ASUS is no stranger to Android phones – the company’s debut with its Zenfone series back in 2014 kickstarted a wave of multiple devices, all tailored for different price brackets. More recently though, its ROG-series gaming smartphones have set themselves apart from the rest of the smartphone competition by offering specs and hardware features not usually found on more “standard” flagship smartphones.

With that said, it looks like the company is now gearing up for the launch of its latest smartphone, the ROG Phone 6. A webpage with a countdown timer and the text “For Those Who Dare” is now available for anyone who’s interested in getting a bit of information about the scheduled date of the reveal, which will take place on July 5.

Aside from the countdown page however, not much has been mentioned about the phone, its specs, or pricing. These will most likely be mentioned officially once the event goes live. ASUS’ current line-up of ROG smartphones include the ROG Phone 5 and 5s, which recently received software updates for the latest Android 12 OS version.

We previously referred to the ROG Phone 5 as “the ultimate gaming phone,” although the device’s top-of-the-line specs, such as the Snapdragon 888 chip, as well as additional hardware like built-in trigger buttons, an additional rear panel display, and an internal cooling system (to name a few), meant that the phone came with a premium price tag.
