HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 are all getting Android 8.0 Oreo

While it’s still early days yet for Oreo rollouts for anyone other than Pixel and Nexus owners, companies are already evaluating the OS upgrade and determining which of their phones will get it. HTC is first at bat with some good (if not predictable news).

The HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 will all be getting Android 8.0 Oreo. There’s no ETA at this time, of course, so the wait could be quite long. Or HTC could surprise us all and drop it within weeks. We don’t know yet, though, so don’t hold them to any unofficial expectations.

You’ll note that HTC chose the safest bunch of devices to deliver news about — flagships released within the past year. That doesn’t mean other phones won’t ever get Oreo, though, so if you are on something older or lesser than the aforementioned then keep hope alive.
