Galaxy S8 sales eclipse 20 million mark

0

Strategy Analytics reports that the Samsung Galaxy S8 duo has reached the 20 million milestone as of July 2017, which represents 15% more than the Galaxy S7 pair sold in their first 3 months of availability. That’s a pretty massive success.

We’re not totally surprised by those numbers, if accurate. Samsung hinted even before launch that they were poised to sell more Galaxy smartphones than they ever have, and that prediction turned out to be spot on with. It helped Samsung turn in an impressive quarter, with it being the first time they’ve ever beaten Apple in profits.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 was clearly Samsung’s best effort yet, and although it may no longer hold the crown of best smartphone on the market, it certainly has a rock solid place right behind the HTC U11 at slot number 2.
