Amazon has announced a new update for Fire TV and Fire TV stick that will bring a new user interface to both devices. Amazon describes the update as a “more cinematic experience” and appears to take a lot of design cues from the current Netflix layout.

Some of the major changes for the new interface include the navigation menu moving from the left side of the screen to the top. Amazon showcases video trailers and still images from its featured programs front and center, just like Netflix.

Aside from the interface improvements, this new update also brings several new features including PIN protection for parents and accessibility improvements for those with visual impairment. If you own a Fire TV or Fire TV stick, you should see the new interface.
