With an early 2017 launch looming, Nokia launches a phone section at their website

The revitalization process is almost complete. Nokia’s long confirmed that their return to Android will happen soon, with recent rumors suggesting Q1 2017. Well, things seem to be moving along swimmingly with Nokia.com being updated with a brand new phones section. Now, let’s get one thing straight: it’s rather dry right now. Looking under the phones tab shows absolutely no products.

But we know they’re coming. Nokia has a partnership with HMD Global for the company to license the Nokia brand and make phones and tablets — they even admit as much on the homepage’s cookie alert box that pops up on your first visit. It’s not quite the same as the Microsoft-owned Nokia making their own phones, but we’re hoping that HMD will take their cues and vision from the Nokia of old.

While we wait for official news to be made, take some time to read up on the devices rumored to be coming out from them. You can also sign up to be notified of incoming news at the website, but if you’re a Phandroid faithful then you know we’ll be sharing that news as soon as it’s made available. It’s happening!
