Deezer’s music streaming app will be on all Honor 5X devices going forward

Deezer and Honor have entered into a global partnership for app distribution. Deezer — a music streaming service — will be preloaded on every Honor 5X from here on out.

Deezer is a $9.99 subscription service that offers up access to millions of tracks, but users won’t have to pay to listen to something as they’ll be offered up free Flow and Mix playlists to fit whatever your mood happens to be at the time. You can also listen to radio stations based on your favorite songs and artists.

“Honor customers are always looking to find new ways to be entertained on their mobile devices. And Deezer is at the forefront of innovation and entertainment,” said Liu Dan, Chief Strategy Officer at Honor. “We are delighted to partner with Deezer as its extensive selection and variety of music and audio service will no doubt, surprise and delight our customers.”

No word yet on when the app will start appearing in new devices, but as it’s a simple firmware tweak we imagine Honor won’t take long to get it out (and if you are interested in trying Deezer now then you can just download it from the Google Play Store at your own convenience).

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.
