The Pope says the Internet and social networks are a “gift from God”

0

Pope Francis has admitted to not being the most tech-savvy person in the world. He actually called himself a “disaster” when it comes to technology. However, earlier today he called the internet, social networks, and text messages “a gift from God” if used wisely. Looks like we need a Pope emoji.

The Pope also had this to say:

“Emails, text messages, social networks and chats can also be fully human forms of communication. It is not technology which determines whether or not communication is authentic, but rather the human heart and our capacity to use wisely the means at our disposal.”

Very wise words from someone who doesn’t understand technology. It should be noted that the Pope made these comments while meeting with Tim Cook, CEO of one of the largest tech companies in the world. Next time someone gives you a hard time about using Twitter too much you can say “the Pope says it’s a gift from God!”

The Pope is pretty cool.
