Site Updates: Setup Auto-Loading Comments

It’s been over a month since we redesigned Phandroid with material inspiration. We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback, especially from folks in love with our new Android News section. But it wasn’t ALL good news.

Our biggest complaint/request since relaunching was that comments were difficult to find. Some of our most loyal readers jump religiously into the comments to see what our Android faithful have to say. We’ll still be hiding comments by default in attempt to keep pages loading quickly, but you can now choose to Auto-load comments by turning the quick toggle on.

EXAMPLE:

We also moved the comments button down to the bottom of its “card” so that it didn’t get visually lost in the content. Hopefully this brings renewed visibility to the conversations happening on Phandroid and further encourages you to read, discuss, share, and return to what we think is the world’s best Android site. And with your help we’ll continue making it better!

I'm an Android and Tech lover, but first and foremost I consider myself a creative thinker and entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for ideas of all sizes. I'm a sports lover who cheers for the Orange (College), Ravens (NFL), (Orioles), and Yankees (long story). I live in Baltimore and wear it on my sleeve, with an Under Armour logo. I also love traveling... where do you want to go?
