After T-Mobile began pushing out Android 5.1.1 for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge last week, US Cellular is now following suit. Posted on their software updates page for both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the update can be downloaded over the air, or through Samsung Kies on the desktop.

Just like T-Mobile’s update, this will update both devices to Android 5.1.1 — build G920R4TYU2BOF7 for the S6 and G925R4TYU2BOF7 for the S6 Edge — and for a closer look at all the new features, check out our post right here.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Still waiting on AT&T….

On a side note, be careful with your GS6 and its bullshit “Gorilla Glass 4” screen. I already have a light scratch in mine.

    1. Mine fell down just one foot to hit the ground and result – shattered back screen. No warranty from Samsung.

      1. I leaned against the table with my Galaxy S6 Edge in my pocket and shattered the screen. Ugh :/

          1. Are those guys pouring 40’s or are those just Coke bottles filled with beer? I’m just curious.

        1. I would lose my marbles if I had an expensive phone like an S6 Edge that got either glass side broken. My sympathies to you guys.

  2. ok can someone explain to me, how the hell do I have the international version of S6, but get updates the last? This is my first phone which I have not rooted, because I dont want to lose warranty and OTA updates, however I dont ssem to be getting them anyways!
Also about the phone, I am a samsung fanboy, I even love Touchwiz, but this phone is a dissapointment. Battery is really mediocre, worse than Note 2 after two years of usage. The headphone sound volume is extremely weak. And the phone really lags badly, ram is basically non-existant, as if I open another app the previous one has already closed. Also no AC3 sounds codecs. So many problems with this phone..
