Android 5.0 Lollipop was a major upgrade to Android. It was the first version of the OS that featured Google’s Material Design standard and spelled the end of the previous design scheme known as Holo. The update also brought many new features such as a new app switcher, a new notification drawer and more. Android 5.1 was a minor revision that also added the ability to pin apps to the front of your display so the user couldn’t exit it.
