Google+ Hangouts Get Document Collaboration

Another great new feature has made its way to Google+ today. Google’s Robin Schriebman posted the news on her Google+ page. Users in Hangouts can now collaborate on documents. Nothing’s different here from Google Documents itself except that you can now see your co-workers, schoolmates or whoever you happen to be working on a document with. You can use existing documents or uploaded/start new ones to get started on your work, play or what have you. No word yet on if this will be headed to Android. Head to Google+ to get started. probably will end up being another one of Google’s countless failed products.

    1. If you have a group assignment for a class, this could be highly useful, as you will all be able to collaborate and see the assignment

  2. This has been possible for quite some time already, and it has been graduated from testing a few days ago….the latest changes to G+ are the new option to organize your photo’s within albums and the new look of the +1 button

  3. Used it many times I can be in the middle of nowhere as long as I have a 3G signal and tether my cell it works flawless. Many times I was away for the weekend doing group work this saved me hours on driving. And it works great for collaboration even if you are local many people can work at a document at the same time instead of making your own document and then copy past them together and then tediously format the whole document.

  4.  Google Docs collaboration was a big help in college. Now I use it with family mostly for planning family events and sharing with the wife for our “to-do list”
