Uber has started rolling out new pricing plans in select cities across the U.S. The new pricing plans will make getting a ride as cheap as paying for a bus. The current pricing is calculated by the distance you want to travel and “surge pricing” during busy times of the day. The new plans aim to be much more simple.

The new pricing plans will be offered in the form of packages. You can buy 20 trips for $20, 40 trips for $30, and a flat $2 for UberPool rides. UberX and private cars will be $7. All of these prices are completely flat and will not change due to surge pricing. The new pricing is being tested in San Diego, Boston, Seattle, Miami, and Washington D.C.

Would you be more likely to get an Uber with this pricing model?
