By Steve is a dinosaur (and a developer). Steve likes to jump. He likes to jump anywhere. That’s the beauty of a game called “Steve – the jumping dinosaur.” It can be played on top of other apps whenever you feel like jumping over stuff with a tiny dinosaur.
The game couldn’t be simpler. Steve, the dinosaur you may recognize from Chrome’s offline page, is running across the screen. It’s your job to tap to make him jump over obstacles. The further you run the higher your score. It’s easy and addictive. The interesting thing about this game is that it’s basically a floating widget.
The game only takes up about a third of your display. It can be dragged around the display. When you’re done playing, simply fling it off to the left. The game will stay there with a little white tab peeking out. To play, simply pull out the tab. You can play the game on top of other apps.

Steve – the jumping dinosaur is not a complicated game. It’s simple and addictive, but not in the way that Flappy Bird is addictive. It won’t make you toss your phone across the room. The gameplay isn’t terribly exciting, but the fact that it can be played on top of other apps is cool. You could play it while watching a YouTube video. Multitasking!
