We won’t see a Samsung Android Wear device anytime soon

Android Wear Samsung Gear Live

Back in 2014, Samsung was one of the first manufacturers to jump on the Android Wear train with the Gear Live, but have yet to create another Android Wear device. This has led to many questions as to why one of the biggest Android manufacturers in the world hasn’t stuck to the Android Wear platform.

Those questions will continue to be asked, and maybe even more-so after Samsung Executives told Fast Company that the company has no plans for an Android Wear device in the future. The move isn’t a surprising one since Samsung has been primarily focused on improving its Tizen OS which is found on the current smartwatch lineup.

We can’t help to think about what would have been if Samsung had stuck with Android Wear, and maybe incorporated some features from Tizen OS into the platform.
