AT&T could be getting a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active

The model number of the device in question is SM-G891A, which is dangerously similar to the SM-G890A model number of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. That’s not proof of anything, of course, but it’s worth pointing out anyway.

An Active version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 might not be quite as appealing this year as the company has restored the waterproof feature that we missed yesteryear, but it would still be a viable option for those who need the extra toughness its military-grade chassis would provide. We’ll have to see whether such a launch would prove to be more niche than popular, but let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves as there’s nothing definitive saying this is going down.
