Fresh off the grill, the HTC One M9 has received technical approval for Android 5.1 Lollipop on AT&T, which means a rollout will officially kick off tomorrow. The update has already hit the Sprint variant, along with the Developer Edition only a few weeks back. Along with Android 5.1, the update is said to bring notable improvements to the camera quality, as well as temperature and battery life enhancements.

The manufacturer has been working hard with carriers to get their flagship device updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop and it’s looking like they’ll have most of their bases covered by the end of the month. HTC Product Manager Mo Versi mentioned on Twitter that both T-Mobile and Verizon One M9’s are up next, currently on schedule to receive their updates next Monday, July 20th.

Let’s just hope HTC took the time to fix that strange slow charging bug that affected some M9’s after updating to Android 5.1.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.
