Sky Go 2.0 adds support for Ice Cream Sandwich

Sky customers should be happy to know that the mobile app to accompany the television service. While the app has been rough for many-a user (it has a two-star rating in the Google Play Store), they’re at least trying to improve.

For starters, the app now supports those on Ice Cream Sandwich, and Sky found the need to point out that this includes the Samsung Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus, and Samsung Galaxy S3.

Other changes include the ability to move the app to the SD card, manage your Sky account from within the app, support for Sky Anytime+ including full search capabilities, and some very much needed bug fixes. Let’s see if Sky’s offering is worth checking for this time by heading to the Google Play Store.

  1. But still does not support HTC One X as it’s not visible from the Play Store. Limiting the app to only devices Sky has already tested doesn’t appear to have won them many friends so perhaps unleash it to all compatible devices??

    1. its safer to first get it stable on a few devices, and then gradually roll it out on more…

  4. Not compatable with evo 3d on ics still crazy considering my dhd runs it . Sky sort it out ipones don’t have this problem
