Leaked HTC Endeavor RUU brings a flurry of Sense 4.0 images

Earlier, we reported on the leaked HTC Endeavor RUU. Our main concern was the creating of Android 4.0 ROMs for HTC, but that is not the only fun stuff hidden behind all those zeros and ones. After taking it all apart we can find a plethora of Sense 4.0 previews, giving us an idea of waht HTC’s latest UI overlay will look like.

As usual with HTC, the interface is quite good looking. Images mostly include screenshots of the unlock screen, as well as the different options that come along with it. We can not wait until we get to play around with a physical device. But for now, let’s check out the images and drool over them.

WTF have they done to the beautiful sophisticated simplicity of ICS?  They’ve ruined it to make it look lke…. windows!@$!%!#$

  • Matthew Merrick

While i’d take stock ICS 100% of the time over this, i have to say its an improved UI over any previous version of sense.

    Honestly, not too impressed hTC!!!
Slick and polished went out the window for bloated and cluttered! :(

Even the recent phones they are coming out with look like every other one from the past 2 years… Sense is dated,& this is not helping it any…

couldn’t agree more, after having my evo 4g, im ready to be senseless and go nexus, i think sense lots its original focus, it was nice at first but they keep making it worse and worse

  • Andr3ww

This looks beautiful. I hope they can port it to the Evo 3D.

    • jbrandonf

They’ve confirmed they will, you just gotta wait.

  • ratnok

Garbage. Give us a clean version of Ice Cream Sandwich and stop with the Nonsense!!!!

    • fins71

It’s called a nexus. Go buy that. HTC has sense. Deal with it. You know sense 4.0 is garbage from reading this article? Or you just like to whine?

you said what i want to say to that guy!!

  • Jay Ochs

sense haters: stop crying.  nobody cares that you don’t like sense.  if you want stock ICS, run a rom or buy another phone.  we DON’T CARE what you think.  it’s not cool to hate sense anymore; go find something else to hate.  you’re all as annoying as apple fans.

    • fins71

Couldn’t agree with you more. Every site filled with haters. Why buy HTC if they hate sense so much? I’m sure touchwiz or blur is better. I like sense 3.0. I run Eternity ROM and it blazes. Whiners too lazy to root a phone that takes 5 mins? My EVO3d has never been faster. It’s easier to complain than to do something about it.

Could not agree more…if you don’t like, move on!!!

Agree agree agree. Sense has *Always* been the best “skin” (though I hate that word because it applies to half a$$ed efforts like Moto/Ninja-blur and Touchwiz junk). HTC *invented* the custom user interface for Android because they wanted to create a superior user experience, not because other companies did it first. In fact Android, with ICS and every version since 1.6, has copied and incorporated a lot of great ideas from the last version of Sense – such as app shortcuts on the lockscreen or deeper social integration and easier copy and paste. I could go on… If you want to experience the future of stock Android, buy an HTC with Sense.

Just goes to show people can bitch about anything. They don’t like the lock screen or think it is cluttered, don’t buy an HTC phone. There is a HUGE market out there for that kind of crap. Root, ROM, do whatever you need to to make sure your phone is nice and pretty. I swear, half the Android population is filled with a bunch of girls who care more about looks than functionality. It’s probably the same group of people who go out and buy a pick up truck but never haul/tow/4wheel with it but own it because it is “cool” looking. You’re all starting to sound as bad as Apple fanboys.

My first HTC smartphone that I bought was the Wildfire. I was a new HTC user back then and I was just amazed at how everything looked. Images were amazing and the interface was a like candy to my eyes. Ever since then, I always stuck with HTC. RIght now, I have an HTC Sensation XE with beat audio! Really sweet phone and the best out there in my opinion. I know other phone like the Samsung Galazy SII has higher specs and HTC’s product are just so lively. I find the interface of other competitors a bit dull to my taste.
