Love and Appiness 2 Coming to San Francisco in Three Days, Are You Registered?

9

The second Love and Appiness convening is going down in just three days – that’s September 23rd – and tickets are flying as we inch closer and closer to the evening wine and dine meet up at Roe’s in San Francisco. Seats are limited so it’s necessary to RSVP and it’s a good idea to do it fast as this event is free and seats most likely won’t last. What exactly will be going on, though? Take a look at this agenda to get an idea of how eventful this two-hour night will be. (especially if you’re an application developer – aspiring or otherwise – who needs a good idea on how to tackle this thing we call the Android market.)

While you’re at it, you can also register for your tickets at that same link. (just look at the top of the page, and you’re good to go.) Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prevent us from attending the event, but we do remain a proud sponsor and we hope some of you Phandroids can cut a slice of time out of your Thursday to head out for this. What else do you have to do on a Thursday, anyway? TV sucks on Thursdays. And you get an awesome T-Shirt, so stop lagging and register!

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Or you could buy this or other awesome Android merchandise from Androidswag.com since they did make this shirt. Androidswag is very community driven unlike some other people and Aaron the guy who started the website is always on the Androidguys Thursday night podcast. Phandroid should sell his merchandise on the site since it is kinda hard to find so much Android stuff all on one website. Here is the link to the shirt: http://androidswag.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=128&category_id=44&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=92

  2. Ahhh…I remember when I designed this t-shirt originally. 2 YEARS AGO, for Androidcommunity.com. Hm.

  3. Heh. Sadly, this open OS Google has given us apparently means you can make tshirts to your hearts desire. I love Android themed shirts (yes, I’ll nerd out on the weekends with one). Ebay is riddled with shirts. These people are making a killing on a brand they dont own….and best of all Google doesnt care (yet)

  4. What’s so sad about Android love?

  5. Seeing people take advantage of others hard work. People who steal and attempt to rewrite other peoples programs in the market. Cheap imitations of shirt designs. Etc etc. Not upset personally, but just an observation is all.

  6. @ Steven

But that’s the beauty, Google doesn’t want in on the t-shirt business…therefore others fill the need where it isn’t profitable for Google to tread. By allowing this, Google get’s the free promotion of the people wearing the Android t-shirts that will ultimately help drive popularity and sales for their product. It’s companies like Google that can see how open licensing makes money who win in the end, and companies like Apple, Microsoft, the RIAA, the MPAA, etc… that will never understand this concept and ultimately surrender much of their market share.

  7. Uh, I beg to differ, that’s Project Runway night! The only TV night of the week!

  8. @laurie, haha, that cracked me up.
