The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. DANG! I love the beta, but $30? I was hoping for $10…oh well, I’ll still get it… It’s too handy too often.

  2. Is it worth the money? I know that there are other apps that do the same thing for 1/3 of the money or less.

  3. Is there a light version of this?

  4. No thanks. I will use pocketcloud for the time being. I it’s great.

  5. @Epell, I already have Logmein set up on about 10 different peoples computers that I manage, and so far I haven’t paid them a dime. It’s worth it to me to not have to set up those computers with something new and to support Logmein in a product that I like. Also, my users aren’t the most technically inclined and Logmein rarely does something that confuses them and they rarely do something to mess up Logmein :) So…worth it for many? I doubt it. But definitely worth it for me.

  6. i’m hoping teamviewer comes out with their android version of their iphone app, I love their software.

  7. there are other products for less. sucks though, logmein makes pretty decent products. Of course, you can use VNC, which has a 100% functional free app.

Why didn’t they start at $2.99? people would have bought it in a flash. zzzz.

  8. What kind of software do I need on my home computer to run this kind of software? Is there a simple to set up free program I can use for my home computer?

  9. Does LogMeIn run at the speed of the client computer? I have a music studio using a Mac 8-core intel processor for recording and mixing songs, which requires a very fast computer. When I’m using LogMeIn, will my remote programs run at their normal speed & capacity?

  10. Thanks Logmein. For $29, you aren’t useful. Why not allow access through our phones browser? With Flash 10.1 available on Froyo, it would work just fine.

  11. PhoneMyPC is way better imo, it’s way faster and will support sound. They recently updated it so you can unlock the screen, it’s only 10 bucks! That’s 20 dollars cheaper!

  12. @Dave, Logmein is free and easy to set up on PCs. You just have to go to their website and follow the instructions. All processing is done on the host side, so your music studio stuff should work fine. I would definitely try it out for a while from PC to PC before shelling out $30 on the Android version, though.

  13. I’ve been using the beta since it was first released. I also used PhoneMyPC App but, I already link 4-PCs with LMI (free) but the functionality on the Ignition App is what makes it superior to PhoneMyPC. I’m in for $30… Why? Simply because it just works. No hassles – no complicated setups – just works. I’m as techie as they come – have a rooted Droid – but I also like things that just make my life simpler…

  14. Horrible without a demo. 30 dollar software without actually having a demo is a bad idea.

  15. I still have the beta on my Droid right now. II rely on logmein everyone day so I will gladly pay for the application. Hasn’t failed me yet it just…… works ;)

  16. keep in mind you can allwasy return the product within a day and get a refund so there’s your demo.

  17. Why pay $30 for something that is free? I can see developers wanting money for their hard effort, but $30? That’s asking for a little too much, imo.

  18. WYSE PocketCloud is free and works great. How could this be $30 better? Remote desktop isn’t exactly rocket surgery.

  19. Just got the beta tester announcement, same price but you get a free t-shirt (purchase not required!).

  20. When you have over 100 computers on your log me in account, and you charge $50 for phone support, this pays for itself instantly. If you are only using it for personal use, maybe a free version is better.

  21. I’ve been a LogMeIn user for years, but when they ignored the Android community, I bought PhoneMyPC. It has had a few temporary problems while in Beta, but their tool is faster, it costs less, and their programmers do their support. With their latest update, I can watch my store through the webcam while I am at home, or even having lunch–and this is because they respond when we ask for things.

LogMeIn has been around longer and is probably more mature, but I doubt they can do that.

  22. Don’t buy it, if you use Cellular South 3G network. It work well on a wi-fi connection, but does not work at all on my cellular network….And I can not get a refund….I purchased it with the the Idea of being able to use it any where…
