I submitted my video a few hours ago and it’s not up, so I’m assuming they’re just waiting to do them in bulk later, rather than approve them in real time.
Tried to purchase a tablet off of craigslist yesterday, but got stood up after driving an hour and a half (each way) to buy it. Hopefully I’ll still get my taste of honeycomb goodness this year, and winning this contest would go a long way for the wife and I.

We aren’t going to be disqualified if our review is a little longer than a minute, right? Doing a review of an app in a minute is wayyy too short. (My review is 4:41).
I certainly hope they don’t seriously consider anything more than 1:10, since I would love to have more time as well. Honestly at a minute long, it comes out almost more like an advertisement than a review. Even 1:30 would have worked wonders for my video, but I crammed the best I could into 1:00 exactly, doing a few takes and editing my script a few times to meet the constraints as specified in the article.
Whoever wins the competition, we’re all winners for being able to find some cool new apps, right? Right???

Great app reviews people! I’ve already downloaded Jeannie and Quill because of these reviews! I’m probably going to download “Android Air” too. I think that was the name. The one where you can see your phone info from your computer while your phone sits in your room charging. Awesome idea! And of course Llama. The one I reviewed. I already had it, but i’m telling you, it saves me so much time and headache. Exspecially when i get to work and it’s already lowered the volumes so it doesn’t blast when my wife calls and her ringtone is “When I see your face” (did you just go back and sing it as you read it?) And before Llama i’d forget so everyone around me would start singing along when she called. Now with Llama I don’t forget and everyone thinks my wife has just quit calling me. AH! Llama, I love you!
I had so much doing the app review yesterday, I created a second version with more effects, smoother transitions, and a nice slideshow at the end of Galaxy Nexus pictures which will play the “Airplane Quiz” app once Verizon or whomever decides to sell the phone. I just really wish it goes on sale prior to Christmas!
