Just as we were all about to get antsy and express our distaste for Chase’s lack of a presence in the Android market, they put an app out just a couple of days later. If you Chase fans head to your Android market right now and search for “Chase,” it’ll be a few results down and you’ll love every bit of what you get if you’re a fan of the iPhone version. Everything is nearly the same except for the exclusion of QuickPay, but we’re told that’s being added in a later update. I’ve taken it for a quick spin and I can honestly say I won’t need to use their website for the most common functions I need. Go and download it now. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]
Aaah.. finally. Thank god.
Now Capital One, where’s your APP?!?!
oh god awesome!
Anyone know where to look to find answers to “Security” issues for something like this. I’m aware of common sense but, I am curious if anything about the security of this particular app has been written before jumping in Head-first.
Oh cool Quick Deposit is included. Finally.
Awesome! FINALLY!!! I don’t have to go to their lame mobile site again lol..Thanks guys!
Duuuuuuude, this app is awesome. Now just for Capital One like #1 said.
@kai Chase has a full suite of information regarding privacy and security accessible from the app.
Man… I was just gonna tip this…..
I want Key to release an Android App. They have an iPhone one!
Cool! Only a year after they should have had it out! One of the reasons I went to a credit union…
Chase is a DINOSAUR.
I was at a Chase bank a half hour ago and the dude said the app was expected in December – ha ha. Gotta love it when “they” know less than “us”. One thing to check on though is that he said there IS a limit on how much you can “deposit” through the chase mobile deposit feature.
This is the one feature I’m most excited about so we’ll see.
Finally. DLing it as I type! Woot!!!
Alex,
IIRC, the limit is $1000.
The deposit limit is $1,000 a day and $3,000 a month.
@Alex I looked through the FAQ. The limit is $1000 per day, I believe, but no limit on the amount of checks.
Thanks guys!
Correct. The language about deposit limits (in the legal junk) when you “agree” to Quick Deposit is $1,000 per day and $3,000 per month. That’s a bit of a bummer because I deposit more than that for my business so I suppose I still have to go to an ATM or inside the branch on occasion.
But this is still a great feature!
I am wrong to be concerned about the security when scanning and depositing a check having it sent through my phone?
Geoff, yes you’re wrong. They added the feature, so they’re liable. Scan it without worries.
To all people that use the new app for CHASE ,it is a safe app they use the same security as the main site and yes there is a “cap” of $1,000 a day and $3,000 a month .
I can’t find this app in the droid app market on my motorolla devour, anyone else have this problem? Is it because my camera is lower res than a droid?
Hi Rika, I too had a problem with my motorola charm. But today I saw the Chase app in the android market. you can now download and use the app but we want have quick deposit because of our camera
