Google could be working on an all-in-one subscription package

Google has many different services under its belt, some of them with subscriptions attached, like its Google One cloud storage service, YouTube Music, and so on. Subscribing to all of them individually could end up being very costly, but Google could be working on a new subscription package.

This is according to a report from 9to5Google who during an APK teardown of the Google Home app, discovered a potential “all-in-one” subscription package from Google. Based on the strings discovered in the teardown, it mentions that this package could include subscriptions to Nest Aware, 2TB of storage for your photos and Google Drive, Gmail, and “more benefits”.

It is unclear what other services could be offered as part of this bundle since not all of them were explicitly mentioned, and how much it could cost. Prior to this, Google had a subscription called the Pixel Pass. It offered customers the latest Pixel phone along with a subscription to Google One, Google Play Pass, and YouTube Premium. The subscription was eventually canned last month, so this could be Google’s way of reviving it.

Other companies such as Apple already offer an all-in-one subscription called Apple One. This gives users access to services like Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and cloud storage, with some higher tiers offering additional services like Apple Fitness+. Granted, Google has way more services under its belt which might be harder to bundle into a more attractive offering, but we’ll have to wait and see what they come up with.
