Infinix’s upcoming charging system could put the competition to shame

0

Recently at MWC 2023, Realme unveiled their latest flagship handset, the Realme GT3. One of the phone’s main selling points was its charging speeds, where it could charge at speeds of 240W, which is honestly pretty insane when you consider that it was a few years ago that our phones were still charging at 5-15W.

But now it looks like the Realme GT3 could be dethroned because according to a report from GSMArena, they have managed to obtain a leaked photo which shows off a charger from Infinix that appears to support 260W charging speeds, making it 20W faster compared to what Realme is offering.

The report goes on to claim that Infinix is expected to officially unveil its new 260W charging solution on the 9th of March, but it is unclear if the new charger will launch alongside a new phone that can take advantage of it, or if the charger will launch by itself and can be utilized to its full potential with any Infinix (or other branded) smartphone.

Assuming the leak is accurate, it would mean that Infinix could have the fastest charging solution on the market. For context, during MWC 2023, Xiaomi took the wraps off their 300W charging solution, but it was only a demo and isn’t available to the public just yet.
