Realme’s GT3 has the fastest charging of any smartphone we’ve seen

At MWC 2023, Xiaomi took the wraps off a demo which showed off 300W charging which managed to juice up a phone from 0-100 in five minutes. Impressive, right? Unfortunately, the tech isn’t available just yet, but if you are looking for a phone with insane charging speeds, Realme has you covered.

During the event, Realme has announced its latest smartphone in the form of the Realme GT3, which boasts the fastest charging speeds in the world for a flagship smartphone. We’re talking about 240W of charging which manages to juice up the phone’s 4,600mAh battery in just under 10 minutes!

This is pretty crazy when you think about it and if you’re the type that’s pressed for time and are on the move constantly, 10 minutes is enough for you to get a cup of coffee, drink it, and your phone should now be good to go for the rest of the day.

As for the rest of the phone’s specs, the GT3 will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It’s not the Gen 2, unfortunately, but the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is still an extremely capable chipset that you should not be overlooking. It will also be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Realme has also given the phone a 6,580mm2 vapor chamber to help cool the phone down, perfect for heavier tasks that might result in the phone generating more heat. The Realme GT3 will also come equipped with a 6.74-inch display, which is massive, that has a 1240×2772 resolution along with 1,400 nits of peak brightness along with a 144Hz refresh rate. There is a built-in in-display fingerprint sensor, RGB lights on the back, and a set of stereo speakers.

On the camera side of things, the GT3 will come with a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP camera, with a 16MP front-facing shooter to round things up. If you’re interested in the Realme GT3, it will be priced starting at $649.
