Back in early February, POCO launched it latest X5 series phones, which included the POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro 5G. The phones were targeted towards users looking for relatively-affordable midrange phones which don’t skip out on specs, although it looks like we might get a new addition to the line-up soon.

In a post by tech tipster Yogesh Brar, it’s predicted that POCO might launch an additional X5 variant in April, dubbed the POCO X5 GT. Given that Xiaomi and its sub-brands release several variants of a product, it’s very likely that we might see this ship out for buyers soon.
In terms of hardware, it’s expected that the POCO X5 GT will come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC paired with either 8 or 12GB RAM, and 128/256GB of internal storage. As for cameras, the rear camera will come with a triple-lens array with a 50MP (OIS) main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and an extra 2MP sensor. The phone will also come with a 16MP Front Camera. Other details include an IR sensor, a 5,500 mAh battery with 67W fast-charging, as well as Android 13 with MIUI.
In any case, we can expect more information to come in the following weeks, that is unless Xiaomi or POCO officially teases the device.
