Garmin’s New Watches Come with a Display Upgrade

When it comes to wearable devices, Garmin has proved itself to be one of the go-to brands for fitness tracking and functionality. The company recently expanded its product range with two new products, the Garmin Forerunner 265 and 965.

Designed with runners in mind, the 265 and 965 also come with big upgrades to display technology, with both watches sporting AMOLED panels for better visibility and color quality when in use. As for specifics, the 265 will come with Pulse Ox sensor, Body Battery energy monitoring, advanced sleep monitoring and sleep score, stress tracking, and menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking. Also present are smart notifications, music downloads with Spotify, Deezer or Amazon Music, and contactless payment methods with Garmin Pay.

The Forerunner 265 will come in a 42mm Forerunner 265S model with up to 24 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 15 days in smartwatch mode, and a 46mm version that offers up to 20 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 13 days in smartwatch mode.

Meanwhile, the Forerunner 965 features built-in mapping functionality, a new load ratio feature, real-time stamina insights, and ClimbPro functionality in addition to the range of features that are also found on the 265. The 965 comes with a titanium bezel, with a 47mm case size. The watch can also go for up to 31 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 23 days in smartwatch mode.
