We have been hearing rumors that OnePlus could be working on their own foldable phone, and it seems that the rumors could be true. During the OnePlus 11 launch, towards the end of the event, the company shared a teaser image that showed off what appeared to be the hinge of a foldable smartphone.
Not much else is known about the device (or devices) right now, and OnePlus didn’t confirm it either. The company did state that they would have something “phenomenal” to share come Q3 2023, which is presumably when the handset will be officially revealed.
That being said, we can expect to see at least two foldable devices. This is according to a trademark that was previously filed that hinted at a OnePlus V Flip and OnePlus V Fold, with the former presumably sporting a flip phone like design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series, while the latter is more of a phone-tablet hybrid like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.
It will be interesting to see what OnePlus could bring to the table in terms of foldable phones. The company has had a reputation for creating phones that are more affordable than the competition, so hopefully these devices will be priced cheaper compared to other foldable phones in the market.
