Last month, ASUS introduced its new lineup of Chromebooks with the Chromebook CX9 designed for businesses, and the Chromebook Flip CX5. These Chromebooks were originally shown off at CES 2021, but had not been released. But if you’ve been waiting for the next great Chromebook from ASUS, the wait is finally over. Starting today, you can pre-order the Chromebook Flip CX5 from Amazon.

The model available for pre-order includes the following specs:

  • 14-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Touchscreen Display
  • Intel Core i3-1110G4 SoC
  • 8GB LPDDR4X RAM
  • 128GB PCIe NVME M.2 SSD
  • 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports
  • 1x USB 3.1 Type-A
  • MicroSD card reader
  • Harman Kardon-tuned speakers
  • Stylus included
  • Backlit Keyboard
  • WiFi 6
  • 10 hours of battery life w/ 45W power adapter

Although we have not been able to find the listings on Amazon just yet, ASUS is also offering configurations of the CX5 with Intel’s 11th Gen Core i5 and Core i7 chipsets. With the 360-degree “ErgoLift” design, you’ll be able to use the CX5 to get some work done without experiencing too much fatigue. And when the mood strikes, you can flip it around, prop it up, and throw on a movie or something.

This is one of the most impressive Chromebooks we’ve seen so far this year, and naturally it’s coming from ASUS. The company has been churning out some great Chromebook options over the past few years, and the CX5 is just the latest example.

If you’re in the market to grab the new Chromebook Flip CX5, you can pre-order it starting today from Amazon. But you might also want to check out your local Best Buy as some configurations are available in-stores and for shipping.

Let us know what you think about the Chromebook Flip CX5 and if you’ll be making it your next Chromebook purchase.
