Check out the LG Wing in these newly leaked renders

LG has recently confirmed that they are working on a new handset in the form of the LG Wing. This handset will be falling under the company’s Explorer Project which is basically LG’s way of exploring new smartphone designs that might not necessarily fall under their existing lineup.

In a new post on Patreon by famed leakster Evan Blass, we have new renders of what the upcoming handset could look like. What’s interesting about these renders is that if they’re accurate, it’s actually quite an impressive feat by LG.

This is because while the swiveling display isn’t exactly news to us, we had wondered how this could affect the overall size of the handset. Samsung’s Galaxy Fold series is quite a thick device, but judging by the renders, it seems that LG has somehow managed to keep it relatively thin.

Of course, angles are deceiving and for all we know, it could end up being rather thick, but for now it looks promising. LG is expected to officially unveil the device next week and last we heard, it is expected to cost around $1,000. This isn’t too bad of a price, but then again, we’re not sure what kind of specs the phone will be packing.

In the meantime, how do you all feel about the LG Wing’s design? Is this a phone that you might be interested in? Or do you think that maybe LG is reaching?
