LG’s upcoming crazy smartphone might actually be affordable

0

The other day, a video showed us a new smartphone that LG could be working on called the LG Wing. It was basically a smartphone that would flip out and would show a secondary display, and we’re sure that some are worried that based on the additional hardware, it could end up being rather pricey.

It turns out that maybe won’t have to worry about that. This is according to a report from XDA Developers whose source has told them that in terms of pricing, the upcoming LG Wing will be priced around the $1,000 mark.

Now don’t get us wrong, we are not saying that $1,000 is cheap, but for a phone with essentially two displays, it is more affordable than what we had previously thought. This is especially true when you consider the fact that foldable phones made by Samsung and Huawei are priced well above the $1,000 mark.

According to the report, LG is expected to debut the phone later this fall, but unfortunately apart from the price and its looks, we’re not sure what kind of hardware it might be packing, but hopefully it will be good enough to justify its price tag.

LG has stayed away from the foldable phone bandwagon and have come up with various alternatives, like selling optional display accessories, and now this. It will be interesting to see if this design will take, but we are definitely interested.
