The Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL have been leaked numerous times, with everything from renders to even price info. None of it is concrete, and nothing will be until the launch date of May 7, but we likely know everything there is to know about the budget Pixel devices.
However, a Best Buy in Springfield, Ohio has screwed up and given us a look at the retail packaging. The store has left a few Pixel 3a XL units on a shelf in plain view (behind some glass so we couldn’t get a better look at it). Obviously they were supposed to be kept out of sight until they were announced, but it does confirm that the official release should be right after the announcement.
Google I/O is coming up and we’re likely going to see the devices launch then, and there’s plenty to be excited about. However, skepticism about the budget devices is understandable, and with Pixel 3 sales being lower than expected, the new 3a may not do so well either. We’ll have to wait and find out.
