The Samsung Galaxy Fold gets an official pre-order date in the UK

If you’re the first in line for new tech, we have some awesome news for you. We finally have an official pre-order date for the new Samsung Galaxy Fold.

The foldable device was shown off at the same Unpacked event that saw Samsung take the wraps off the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e. Samsung was surprisingly forthcoming with information about the device like how much it costs. Yes, it comes in at an eye-popping $1,800 or 1,800 pounds for our friends in the UK. While those numbers might make some blush, we know some of you will be eagerly awaiting for the April 26 pre-order date in the UK. The device will then hit store shelves on May 3.

You can pick up the foldable from either Samsung’s website or EE, which has pre-registration live right now. This will keep you in the loop about developments on pre-orders and the device itself. When you pre-order your device, you’ll only be able to do it from these two sources, as Samsung signed a deal with EE to be the exclusive supplier in the UK. All orders will come with a free pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds, the $130 pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds that look to be beating the Apple Airpods at their own game. You’ll also get your hands on a special Kevlar case that will be sure to keep the Fold, a potentially very fragile device, safe from harm. EE has yet to announce their pricing or bonus gifts yet, but we’re sure they’ll be some fanfare around the device.

Are you going to pre-order the device? Or are you waiting on more detailed pictures and videos to see if that crease is actually something to be worried about? Let us know down in the comments.
