Oh look, Oppo wants to copy the iPhone notch too

Count Oppo in as another shameless manufacturer who just wants to create an iPhone clone. The R15 and R15 Plus are being teased on Chinese social media, and they’re not being shy about revealing that these phones will have those devil horns the iPhone X has suddenly ushered into popularity.

We’re not yet sure what to expect from the duo aside from being mid-range champions, likely to don Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 700-series chipset. And if Oppo’s history is anything to go by, they’ll make a big deal about those selfie cameras.

But we just can’t get over that notch, man. Guess we’ll have to get used to this because the smartphone industry seems quite devoid of imagination, creativity, and innovation in 2018. They join OnePlus, LG, and Motorola as prominent OEMs who at least explored the potential for the design at some point, while folks like Leagoo and ASUS are already full steam ahead in their efforts.
