Android Oreo distribution rises to 0.5% while Nougat moves up the ladder

Google has revealed its Android Distribution numbers for the month of December, which show a slight increase in Android Oreo devices. Oreo comes in at 0.5%, which Nougat moving up to a total of 23.3%, which is an increase of almost 4% when compared to last month.

More and more devices are either being updated to Android Oreo, or released with the latest version of the OS in tow. We are also continuing to hear about which devices are being upgraded, with Honor being the latest to share its short list of Oreo-compatible devices.

Although Android Oreo and Android Nougat have seen a rise in the total number of users, the rest of the pack has been seeing a steady decline. Marshmallow has finally dropped below 30%, while Lollipop and KitKat have also seen a drop in userbase.
