Reminder: The Android O event is being streamed live at 2:40PM Eastern

Quick heads-up: don’t forget that Google is looking to announce new Android O details today, including a name reveal (OREO PLEASE) and maybe even a final, stable launch of the software for at least Pixel devices. We’ll likely see a lawn statue unveiled to tie a nice, neat bow on top of it all.

Those festivities are happening at around 2:40PM Eastern, which figures to be at 11:40AM where Google is currently situated. Considering the solar eclipse is currently moving over the west coast as of this writing, it’s unlikely Google will be able to do anything live to show it to the world, but perhaps they have some special cameras recording the phenomenon on the lawn right now to include in a highlight reel later on. In any case, be sure to swing back and check out the live stream (embedded above) once the time comes.
