It’s been a little over a month since Google published the May Security update, but they are here to provide everyone with the Factory Images with the June Security update in tow. The latest update fixes over 20 vulnerabilities, with 6 of those being categorized as a “Critical” flaw. You’ll more than likely see an update appear on your Nexus within the day or 2, but if you can’t wait, you can download and flash the Factory Image today.
Here is the list of devices being updated along with the proper build number for the device:
- Nexus 5 (MOB30M)
- Nexus 5X (MTC19V)
- Nexus 6 (MMB30J, MOB30M)
- Nexus 6P (MTC19V)
- Nexus 9 (MOB30M)
- Nexus 7 2013 (MMB30J, MOB30M)
- Pixel C (MXC89H)
- Nexus Player (MOB30M)
This is the third time that we’ve seen the Nexus 10 left off the list for monthly security updates, so it’s not known whether Google has given up on the 10″ tablet altogether. Regardless, if you want to get your supported device up to date, head to the Google Developers page to download the appropriate Factory Image. Remember to follow the flashing instructions to the “T” to avoid any risks or bootloops while trying to update your device before Google starts seeding.
