The Saygus V2 super-phone may actually launch this quarter

Remember the Saygus V2? It was all the rage at CES 2015. Spec-lovers were obsessed with the phone, but it has seen nothing but delays since the initial excitement. First, the pre-order was delayed from January 29th to February 2nd. The release was delayed from May, then to June, and lastly to Fall 2015. If you’ve checked a calendar lately, you’ll notice that the Fall is long gone and the Saygus V2 is still not here.

Saygus is back with yet another delay. They are now shooting for a Q1 release, which would be a full year after they started taking pre-orders. Forgive us if we’re a little skeptical. It’s a shame that the device has been delayed so many times. The specs truly are amazing. Last time we played with the phone it had a 5-inch 1080p display, 64GB internal storage, 2 micro SD card slots (up to 256GB), 21MP rear/13MP front-facing cameras, and a large 3,100mAh battery.
