OnePlus 13T quietly redefines what a compact flagship can be

The OnePlus 13T compact flagship is now official in China, and it feels like OnePlus finally remembered how to make an exciting phone. This isn’t just another mid-range clone. It’s a compact, ultra-thin device that still packs a punch—and somehow squeezes in a 6,260mAh battery.

The OnePlus 13T compact flagship comes with a 6.32-inch flat AMOLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, 1600 nit peak brightness, and Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass for durability. You get Snapdragon 8 Elite under the hood, up to 16GB RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and SuperVOOC 80W charging. There’s no wireless charging, which sucks a little—but at this size and price, it’s forgivable.

OnePlus also swapped out the Alert Slider for a new “Shortcut Key” that mimics the iPhone 16’s Action Button. It’s weird at first, but actually kind of useful. You can map it to toggle flashlight, camera, or even record a voice note on the fly.

Camera-wise, the OnePlus 13T compact flagship comes with a 50MP main + 50MP telephoto (2x zoom). No ultrawide here, but that’s arguably a good thing—dual-camera setups with bad ultrawides are worse than no ultrawide at all.

At CNY 3,399 (around $470), it’s a solid deal. No global launch confirmed yet, but if OnePlus follows its usual playbook, we might see it internationally early next year.
